After months of restructuring, we are relaunching with a sharper brand, a cleaner architecture, and a clear mission: to build the most useful English platform on the web — not just for learners, but for anyone who cares deeply about language.
The old WYE was aimed primarily at beginners.
The new WYE is for intermediate and advanced learners, language enthusiasts, native speakers, and writers.

Every paragraph of content uses a structure we call ypara — bilingual paragraphs that hold sentences, translations, and word-level glosses all in one place.
This means every piece of content we publish is ready for Arabic speakers today and Spanish speakers tomorrow.
The dictionary combines WordNet data with hand-curated translations so that clicking any word shows you its meaning, its Arabic equivalent, and how it fits into the larger web of English vocabulary.
